The following information relates to installation of ThinLinc on a SUSE Linux Enterprise or openSUSE platform. Please read the information here before installing ThinLinc, or when encountering problems.
Missing requirements
Some of the requirements needed to use ThinLinc are not present in the standard repositories for SUSE Linux Enterprise 15. The following extensions and modules should be enabled to enable all features:
- SUSE Linux Enterprise Workstation Extensions (sle-we/15/x86_64)
- SUSE Package Hub (PackageHub/15/x86_64)
GTK+ and PyGObject on openSUSE 15 leap
ThinLinc Setup can not automatically install requiements on openSUSE yet. This means that required libraries and binaries has to be installed manually. The two requirements GTK+ and PyGObject are however non trivial to find using zypper search. These two packages should provide what’s needed:
- python3-gobject-Gdk
- typelib-1_0-Gtk-3_0
